Outfit August day 9: floral extravaganza

Thanks to a tip from a friend, I discovered quite possibly the most exciting thing ever: a farm where you can pick your own flowers!

top and necklace: clothing swap, skirt: thrifted, headband: Crown & Glory, earrings: Lithia’s Creations, bracelets: Torrid and Deb, shoes: Brooks

There’s nothing quite so wonderful as being surrounded by flowers with a pair of scissors and free reign to pick as many as you can fit in a jar. It’s cheap, too–only $6.25 for a large jar, which is far less than flowers cost at the supermarket or even the farmer’s market.

#FatshionFebruary, day 17: out of this world

Almost finished catching up on my outfits from the last few days…

Dress: Domino Dollhouse, teggings and belt: Re/Dress, boots: Target, shoe clips: Head Full of Feathers, necklace: a store whose name I don’t remember in Jamaica Plain, earrings: Faces, flower crown: Crown & Glory, heart ring: Shana Logic

Do I ever miss an opportunity to twirl around in the middle of the street? Of course not.

#FatshionFebruary, day 9: Ode to the ’90s

This dress is another one of my recent swap acquisitions–I might as well start calling it Swapped and Thrifted February.

Dress: Merona (Target) via clothing swap, leggings: Domino Dollhouse, cardigan: Torrid via eBay, socks: Target, shoes: Naot, all jewelry: really old

Yes, it has POCKETS. And if I had a regular office job, it would make a great work dress (without all the skull accessories, of course). I like basic dresses that can easily switch from business casual to punk-tastic.

#FatshionFebruary, day 3: keeping it pink at work

Top: thrifted, pants: Target, earrings and necklace: Lithia’s Creations, hairclip: H&M

This is pretty much my typical work uniform: yoga pants, sneakers, a top that’s vaguely nicer than a t-shirt but not so nice I would mind staining it, hairclip/fascinator, necklace, and earrings (but no rings or bracelets because they would get in the way). The shirt is a bit big on me, but for work, I don’t really care.

My lunch break is too short to take outdoor pictures with a tripod, hence the bathroom mirror selfies. I wish the lighting and background were better, but what can you do? Continue reading
