Lately I’ve been operating under the theory that if I wear a lot of florals, it’ll make spring come. That’s how weather works, right? 😉
I wore this outfit for a short nature walk over the weekend, where there was plenty of snow but also plenty of sun. We also saw a few cute dogs, including a tiny lab/husky mix puppy with one blue eye and one brown eye!
Top: Apostrophe Woman – thrifted, cardigan: Grace Elements Woman – from a mini-swap with a friend, skirt: Target, leggings: Domino Dollhouse, snow sneakers: L.L. Bean, flower crown: Boohoo, earrings and necklace: Forever 21, bracelet: So Good, sunglasses: Sweet and Lovely
If I wear lots of bright colors and florals, then spring will come more quickly, right? I’m pretty sure that’s how weather works…
Cardigan: Eloquii via clothing swap, dress: Yours Clothing, teggings: Re/Dress, coat: Nicolette Mason for ModCloth, shoes: L.L. Bean, socks: not sure, necklace and bracelets: eBay, earrings: So Good (present from Steve), headband: Gardens of Whimsy
This is what I wore for work on Friday, and then out for a friend’s birthday dinner. I meant to bring my black sequined cardigan to change into for the evening, but forgot to throw it in my bag. At least I remembered to bring my gold glitter eyeliner! A night out without sparkly eyes just isn’t as much fun.
Dress: Pop Up Plus, cardigan : Eloquii – via clothing swap, leggings: Domino Dollhouse, boots: from my mom, necklace and wristband: So Good, bangles: eBay, earrings: small shop in Western Massachusetts
Some days I just feel really, really pink.
Dress: Reborn Collection via Zulily, cardigan: SimplyBe, belt: ASOS Curve, necklace: Betsey Johnson via eBay, earrings: Forever 21, leggings: Domino Dollhouse, shoes: Naot, coat: Nicolette Mason for ModCloth, hat: Brykalski, tote bag: gift from a friend
I love, love, love this Paris-themed Betsey Johnson necklace. When I got it, Steve said it looked like a necklace that had eaten a bunch of other necklaces, and it’s so true. I love all the tiny details, from the little Eiffel Tower to the tiny dress form, spool of thread, and shears.
And the hat is from actual Paris! It’s one of the three gorgeous headpieces I got at a tiny hat shop that one of my friends recommended. You can see one here, and I’ll be posting an outfit with the third one soon. (Also, yes, I promise I will post about my trip to Paris and Iceland soon! I’ve got a bunch of posts mostly written, and at this point I just have to deal with picking out and uploading pictures–which is no small feat, since I took nearly 2,000 of them.) I normally like to wear the hat a little further forward, but it had shifted back a bit and unfortunately I didn’t look in a mirror before taking these pictures. Oh well! Continue reading
This is what I wore for my second day at Disney. I spent half the day in the pool, which was wonderful, and when I finally dragged myself out of the water, I had another colorful and comfortable outfit planned out.
Top: Cacique by Lane Bryant, skirt: Dots via The Big Thrifty, shoes: Brooks via Zappos, watch: Amazon, pink wristband: “Magic Band” for hotel and theme park access, rainbow bracelet: a store at Disney, necklace: Betsey Johnson via eBay, earrings: Forever 21, hairclip: Crown & Glory
I picked this giant bow for my trip to Disney both because I will take any opportunity to wear huge things on my head, and because it was the closest thing to the Disney aesthetic I could think of while staying true to my own style. The dress I picked because it’s comfortable, fun, and perfect for hot weather.
Dress: ASOS Curve, bow: the Velvet Village, necklace: Tarina Tarantino via eBay, earrings: a small shop in Paris, watch: Amazon, sneakers: Brooks via Zappos, purse: LeSportSac via eBay, wristband: the “Magic Band” that got us into our hotel rooms and the theme parks Continue reading
