OOTD: Summoning spring
Lately I’ve been operating under the theory that if I wear a lot of florals, it’ll make spring come. That’s how weather works, right? š
I wore this outfit for a short nature walk over the weekend, where there was plenty of snow but also plenty of sun. We also saw a few cute dogs, including a tiny lab/husky mix puppy with one blue eye and one brown eye!

Fatshion February, day 27: pink, black, and my signature pink poof
This is what I wore for work on Friday, and then out for a friend’s birthday dinner. I meant to bring my black sequined cardigan to change into for the evening, but forgot to throw it in my bag. At least I remembered to bring my gold glitter eyeliner! A night out without sparkly eyes just isn’t as much fun.

I love, love, love this Paris-themed Betsey Johnson necklace. When I got it, Steve said it looked like a necklace that had eaten a bunch of other necklaces, and it’s so true. I love all the tiny details, from the little Eiffel Tower to the tiny dress form,Ā spool of thread,Ā and shears.
And the hat is from actual Paris! It’s one of the three gorgeous headpieces I got at a tiny hat shop that one of my friends recommended. You can see one here, and I’ll be posting an outfit with the third one soon. (Also, yes, I promise I will post about my trip to Paris and Iceland soon! I’ve got a bunch of posts mostly written, and at this point I just have to deal with picking out and uploading pictures–which is no small feat, since I took nearly 2,000 of them.) I normally like to wear the hat a little further forward, but it had shifted back a bit and unfortunately I didn’t look in a mirror before taking these pictures. Oh well! Continue reading
OOTD: Pink leopard, rainbows, and hearts
This is what I wore for my second day at Disney. I spent half the day in the pool, which was wonderful, and when I finally dragged myself out of the water, I had another colorful and comfortable outfit planned out.

OOTD: Rocking my giant bow at Disney
IĀ picked this giant bow for my trip to Disney both because I will take any opportunity to wearĀ huge things on my head, and because it was the closest thing to the Disney aesthetic I could think ofĀ while staying true to my own style. The dress I picked because it’s comfortable, fun, and perfect forĀ hot weather.

Huzzah for pink plus size coats!
As someone who’s nearly always worn black coats (with the exception of the awesome faux-leopard coat my mom thrifted for me), I’ve been really excited to see the recent proliferation of pink plus size outerwear. Winter is so much more fun when you can go out in bright colors that stand out against the snow, slush, and darkness.

As the weather finally gets cool enough for cardigansĀ and leggings, I’ve been eyeing warm-looking pink fuzzy sweaters and all things darkly romantic: lace, leather, tulle,Ā darkĀ florals. I’m also still obsessed with all things holographic (although somehow I haven’t managed to acquire any yet).
