I picked this giant bow for my trip to Disney both because I will take any opportunity to wear huge things on my head, and because it was the closest thing to the Disney aesthetic I could think of while staying true to my own style. The dress I picked because it’s comfortable, fun, and perfect for hot weather.
Dress: ASOS Curve, bow: the Velvet Village, necklace: Tarina Tarantino via eBay, earrings: a small shop in Paris, watch: Amazon, sneakers: Brooks via Zappos, purse: LeSportSac via eBay, wristband: the “Magic Band” that got us into our hotel rooms and the theme parks
Fake France may have been depressing, but at least it made a good photo background.
I came across some awesome Goths, and happily my outfit matched theirs quite well.
I also found a very cuddly Stitch in one of the stores. 🙂 It’s been too long since I’ve seen Lilo & Stitch–I should watch it again sometime soon.
There were also over-the-top headpieces everywhere, mostly variations on mouse ears. It was weird to walk around with a giant bow on my head and feel like I fit in–I’m used to standing out whenever I wear it. I also got a lot of compliments on it, and Steve got a lot of compliments on his Bulbasaur shirt, which was really nice. I like those little ways that fashion and self-expression bring people together, even at a place like Disneyworld.
That is one show-stopping bow… gotta love it! Perfect for a trip to Disney I’d say 😉 Tell me you got to touch the goth’s spikey hair? Temptation would’ve been too much for me not too!! Great post, looks like you had fun x

Thanks! 🙂 Haha, asking to touch his hair didn’t even occur to me, but now that you mention it, it does look tempting.
Awk well… something to aim for if there’s ever a future opportunity? 😀
I guess so! 🙂
I LOVE Disney! I wish I could go there all the time. Great bow!
Thanks! I wish you could have gone in my place.
Super cute look! I am so envious – is this Disney Land or World??
Thanks! 🙂 It’s Disney World.
