This is what I wore for work on Friday, and then out for a friend’s birthday dinner. I meant to bring my black sequined cardigan to change into for the evening, but forgot to throw it in my bag. At least I remembered to bring my gold glitter eyeliner! A night out without sparkly eyes just isn’t as much fun.

This is what I wore to my cousin’s wedding over Memorial Day weekend. I spent a lot of time trying to find something more spring-y/floral/frothy/floaty, but was ultimately unsuccessful. I even bought a custom-made mauve tutu that I was hoping to wear over a black dress, but it ended up being so poofy that there was no way I could wear it without knocking over everything around me. (It’s still awesome, though–I will definitely wear it sometime when I go to an event with more space to move around.) So I went with this, which was my backup dress, and it ended up working out really well.

I got this dress a few years ago and weirdly, it’s a size 14. I’m not sure why I even tried it on, but I’m glad I did. Continue reading

I bought this dress from the lovely Natalie of Extra Large as Life, and it fits perfectly–I’m convinced we’re body-shape twins. 🙂
What’s better than wearing lace? Wearing lots of lace, of course!

The shoes, unfortunately, don’t fit quite right. So I’m going to return them, but I had to get a few pictures in them first. They’re just so…me. And ugh, I hate how hard it is to find nice shoes in extra-wide at all.
Due to financial stuff, I’m temporarily giving up on finding pretty shoes, but someday….someday.
The Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, one of my friends invited me over for a holiday feast. Although I knew most of the guests would be dressed casually, it was a perfect excuse for me to get glammed up.
Happily, I was not the only one dressed up for the occasion–my friend’s sister was wearing a gorgeous gothic-inspired Betsey Johnson top, and her husband was wearing a fez! They both have fabulous, steampunk- and vintage- inspired style, and always know I can count on them to show up dressed with panache. They were likewise unsurprised to see that I was dressed up. 🙂

I’m really not sure about this jacket. I love how it looks on me, but…it’s not soft. And I am really particular about the comfortableness of my clothing (which is why I’m always stealing Steve’s ridiculously comfy Rainbow Dash hoodie). I’ve been thinking about selling it for a while, but I can never make up my mind.
