Every year on or near March 14th, Steve and I hold a Pi Day party. After we got engaged in February, I started thinking about having a party to celebrate, and it seemed only natural to combine our engagement party with our annual celebration of pie.
I’m so glad we did. The party was incredibly wonderful: so many friends from so many parts of our lives came together and showered us with love in the form of delicious, delicious baked goods (as well as a few savory pies like quiche and pizza). If I could bottle up that feeling, I would.

Here are just a few of the many, many pies people brought–including a pi-shaped cake!
This salted caramel and chocolate pie was my favorite of the night. SO GOOD.
One of our friends always makes a square chocolate-chip cookie pie, because “pie are squared.” 😉
A few pictures of my friends being their usual silly, goofy, wonderful selves:
And here’s us striking superhero-esque poses with Liz and Ian, who introduced us!
You are super cute!
Thanks! 🙂
I love your headband and clutch!
